Winners Jiu-Jitsu Academy is the only Sunny Isles Beach BJJ school led by a world champion. We sit on Collins Avenue, minutes from the boardwalk, Winston Towers, Trump Towers, and the Acqualina — walking distance for many residents, a short ride for the rest.
Our academy lives on the same block of Collins Avenue that defines this city. Students come from Winston Towers and the towers around 174th Street on foot; from Trump Towers, Acqualina, and the Intracoastal condos by car in under five minutes. There is no BJJ school in Sunny Isles Beach more convenient — because there is only one.
Founded in 2012 by 2x World Cup Champion Jonatas Gurgel, Winners has trained more than a decade of Sunny Isles families. The pattern we see most: a resident tries a free class, brings their kid the next week, and the whole family ends up on the mats. The city is small and word travels. Many of our most senior students live on the same blocks they did their first trial on.

Where exactly is the academy in Sunny Isles Beach?+
We are at 17100 Collins Avenue, Suite 201 — on the west side of Collins just south of 172nd Street. On-site parking is available, and we are a short walk from Winston Towers.
Can my child walk to class after school?+
Yes — many of our students do. We schedule kids classes for after-school dismissal and the academy is a short walk from local K-8 schools and residential towers on Collins.
Do you offer morning classes?+
Our regular schedule is Monday–Friday 4:00–9:00 PM and Saturday 9:30 AM–12:30 PM. For morning training, we offer private one-on-one sessions by appointment.
Is there parking at the academy?+
Yes, on-site parking is available. For Collins Avenue residents within walking distance, we also have bike storage.
What languages do your coaches speak?+
